Sidel has equipped ThaiNamthip, a bottling partner of The Coca-Cola Company in Thailand, with its Hydra Ultrasonic bottle washer at one of its facilities.
According to Sidel, the bottle washer enables beverage producers to achieve up to 15% in water savings, 20% steam reduction, fewer rejects, and a higher production output, and reduced use of chemicals.
Nicholas Nixon, VP of manufacturing at ThaiNamthip, says: “Returnable glass bottles make up a significant portion of the diverse packaging mix we offer to suit the needs of our customers and consumers. Cleanliness and safety of the bottles are our top priority.”
“The Hydra Ultrasonic washer has been installed at our Pathumthani Plant, which serves as our center of excellence for returnable glass bottles production.”
He explains that, alongside its “superior” cleaning performance, the washer supports ThaiNamthip’s sustainability efforts by improving water and energy efficiency.
The machine is reportedly the first ever to be installed in Asia. Developed in 2024, the bottle washer combines traditional washing with ultrasonic technology.
Andrea Solfa, product manager at Sidel, says: “Real progress means doing more with less. With Hydra Ultrasonic, we set ourselves the dual objective of improving washing capacity while reducing overall consumption and carbon footprint.”
Recently, Sidel equipped Guangdong Baisen Food, an F&B producer in China, with its Aseptic Combi Predis. The solution passed aseptic validation and has been commissioned for the production of near-neutral pH beverages.
Meanwhile, the packaging equipment provider introduced Returnable PET — Still Water, a reusable PET bottle designed for the still water market. The solution aims to reduce waste and promote circularity for beverage producers and retailers.
At Interpack 2026, Sidel presented its smart, user-focused technologies to enhance productivity and flexibility. It also displayed the Cermex RoboSelex and RoboAccess_Pal S, two automated, end-of-line packaging and palletizing systems designed to give manufacturing and bottling lines greater speed, flexibility, and agility.
