Dissolves, it does not peel
Conventional labels have to be soaked, scraped or blasted off. A water-soluble construction goes into solution on its own, so the removal step disappears from your process entirely.
We print on stock that behaves like ordinary label paper — and then dissolves completely in water. No scraping, no pulp in the wash line, no adhesive ghost left on the glass.
Why water-soluble
Conventional labels have to be soaked, scraped or blasted off. A water-soluble construction goes into solution on its own, so the removal step disappears from your process entirely.
No fibre in the filters, no adhesive ghosting on the glass, no second wash. Containers come out of the line ready to refill, which is where the real cost saving sits.
Food-contact grades, REACH and RoHS declarations, effluent data on request, and a batch-level dissolution certificate for your quality file.
Every batch is dissolution-tested in our own laboratory against the wash parameters you give us. The certificate ships with the goods.
How we prove it
The range
Paper, film and adhesive systems tuned to different dissolution windows. If none of them fits your line, we coat one that does.
Prints like paper. Vanishes like sugar.
Glass-clear film that leaves nothing behind.
Lifts off whole in the caustic bath. No ink bleed.
Face and glue both go. Nothing to scrape.
Date it, cook it, wash it. Gone in thirty seconds.
Sticks at −20 °C. Dissolves at +40 °C.
Variable data on demand, gone after the wash.
Bring us the dissolution curve. We build the stock.
Where it is used
Bottles come back thirty times. A wash-off label releases whole in the caustic bath so the screen catches it, instead of pulping and loading the filters.
02Condensation-resistant on the shelf, gone in the wash line. Cuts caustic strength and the second-pass rewash on returned crates.
03Applied onto damp, chilled and frosted surfaces down to −20 °C, then removed in a warm wash without solvents.
04Prep and date labels that leave in the pot-wash rather than being picked off pans by hand. Food-contact compliant, freezer to steam table.
05PVA film for single-dose pods and sachets — heat-sealable, cold-water soluble, and the same chemistry the category already runs on.
06Drum and IBC labelling that dissolves at the reconditioning wash, so containers are re-labelled without solvent stripping.
Inside the plant
Water-soluble stock is unforgiving: humidity, tension and ink chemistry all change how it dissolves. Keeping coating, printing and the dissolution laboratory in the same building is the only way to hold the window.
Capability
Solution coating line, 1 300 mm web, water-soluble formulations coated in-house rather than bought in.
Eight-colour flexographic presses with UV and water-based ink sets and in-line varnish.
Digital UV inkjet for short runs, variable data and pre-production proofs on the real stock.
Rotary and semi-rotary die-cutting, slitting from 25 mm, sheeting and bag conversion.
Dissolution laboratory: temperature-controlled baths, timed release testing, ice-water immersion, effluent sampling.
Controlled-humidity storage and staging so hygroscopic stock reaches the press in specification.
Working with us
Send the container and the wash parameters. We coat, print and dissolution-test a sample set and courier it within a week.
Dissolution is tuned between 5 °C and 90 °C. We formulate to your line temperature instead of asking you to change it.
Technical data sheets, migration statements, REACH and RoHS declarations, and third-party testing arranged on request.
Coating, prepress, printing, die-cutting and QC are all ours. You talk to the people who actually run the machine.
